Padmaavati Laces

Padmaavati Laces is tucked into a busy corner of Surat at 1023-24 Annapurna Market. We are right opposite the Millennium Market, which everyone knows is the heart of the textile trade around here. The address is a bit of a mouthful because we are also near Kamela Darwaja on the Ring Road, and our home number is 3/4000. We are right beside the National Bank on Karwa Mian Road in the Navapura area. It is a lot of names, but basically, we are right in the middle of the chaos. If you’ve ever been to Surat-395003, you know how loud and packed the Ring Road gets. Our shop is filled from floor to ceiling with different kinds of laces. There are spools everywhere and the smell of new fabric is very strong. We spend our days helping people find the right trim for their projects. It’s a lot of climbing up ladders to pull down boxes and then packing them back up. The National Bank next door is a good landmark for people who get lost in the maze of Navapura. It’s never quiet here, with the rickshaws honking and people shouting in the market. We just keep moving through the day, handling the lace orders and talking to the other shopkeepers. It’s a busy, dusty, and honest way to make a living in the city.
