Kalpatru Super Market

Our place, Kalpatru Super Market, is located in Gala No 4, 9, and 10 over in the Sakinaka area of Surat. It is a decent-sized space for a shop, but with all the groceries and household goods we pack inside, it always feels a lot smaller than it is. We spend most of our early mornings unloading heavy crates of fresh stuff and trying to find some room on the already crowded shelves. It is a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bags of rice and stacking up tins of oil. We do not have those fancy automatic doors or loud music playing in the background while you shop. It is just the normal sound of people talking and the clinking of glass jars being moved around. Most of our staff members have been working with us for a long time, so we feel more like a small family than a business. We see the same local families coming in every single week to do their big shopping. Sometimes we run out of a particular brand that someone wants and we have to suggest something else, but that is just a part of the daily routine. The floors stay scuffed from all the trolley wheels, and we are constantly sweeping up dust. It is a straightforward shop for people who just want to get their supplies without any extra hassle. We do not do big fancy promotions or give away prizes. We just keep the shelves full and the prices fair so people keep coming back.
