Kalika - Subham Travels

Tirupati Plaza is on Sahara Darwaja Road. That's where you'll find Kalika - Subham Travels. We are located near the Ashoka Hotel. The road is always buzzing. It’s one of those parts of Surat that never seems to sleep. There’s always someone moving, whether it’s a truck or a rickshaw. Our office is just a small space in the plaza. We have the usual stuff, a computer, some ledgers, and a telephone that rings quite a bit. We’ve been here for a while. The hotel nearby helps people find us. "Just go past Ashoka Hotel," we tell them. It works every time. The plaza itself has many different shops. We know the guys next door well. We share news and sometimes lunch. It’s a small community of shopkeepers. We handle travel bookings for people going out of the city. Most of them are workers or small business owners from the surrounding markets. We don’t have any big marketing slogans. We just write down the details, take the payment, and give the ticket. Sometimes there are mistakes in the paperwork, and we have to fix them quickly. It’s a manual process often. The fans in the ceiling hum all day long. It's a bit hot in the afternoons, but we get the work done. Sahara Darwaja is a hectic place, but we like being in the middle of it. It keeps things interesting for us every single day.
