Jolly Sales

Jolly Sales is over on Bhagal Mahant Road at number 6. If you know that road, you know it is always got something going on. We are right there in the mix. The shop is a regular place where we sell whatever we have got in stock that week. It is not fancy. We have some shelves, a counter, and a lot of boxes that we haven't quite found a permanent home for yet. At number 6, we get a mix of everyone walking by. Some people are in a hurry and some just want to stand and chat for twenty minutes while the traffic crawls past outside. We do not mind either way. We have been on Mahant Road for a while, so we have seen shops come and go. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The morning usually starts with a bit of sweeping because the street dust is relentless. Then we check what needs to be put out on display. It is a simple routine. We are not trying to change the world, just trying to make a living and help the folks who come in looking for something. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door when it is heavy, so we keep a bucket handy. It is just one of those things you deal with when you are in an older building. It is a good spot though, and we are happy to be here.
