I stay and work out of Ekata Raw House which is over in the Viveknagar area near Ejipura Main Road. The address says Rander Road and I am right opposite the Lakhoz Gym. It is a lively neighborhood with people always heading to the gym or the local shops. My place is number 1 so it is easy to spot once you are on the right street. I have lived here for a good amount of time and I have seen the area change quite a bit. My work is mostly done from a small desk I have set up in the front room. It is nothing fancy just a computer and some shelves for my books and papers. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the music from the gym or the bikes zooming past but I do not mind the energy of the street. I handle various local tasks and help out people in the community when they need something sorted out. It is a very hands-on way of living and working. I do not believe in having a big office with a lot of staff. I prefer doing things myself so I know they are done right the first time. The house is comfortable though the monsoon rain sometimes makes the road outside a bit muddy. I usually spend my mornings catching up on emails and my afternoons meeting people who stop by. I know most of the faces on the street.
