Jay Geeta Paints

We've been at Mahalaxmi Square for a while now. If you know the area near L.P Sawani School, you’ve probably walked past us on M G Road many times. It gets pretty busy around here, especially when school lets out and the traffic starts picking up. Jay Geeta Paints isn't anything fancy, just a local shop where we keep a lot of cans on the shelves. Sometimes the dust gets on the lids, but the paint inside is what people come for. We spend most of our mornings unloading deliveries or helping someone figure out which shade of white isn't too yellow for their living room walls. It’s funny how much time you can spend looking at tiny paper squares with colors on them. Our shop at 16 Adajan Dn is a bit cramped, but we manage to fit what we need. Most of our regulars are folks from around the neighborhood who are fixing up a bedroom or maybe a fence. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a counter and some stools. Sometimes the phone rings and nobody can find it under the invoices, but we eventually pick up. It's just how things go in a small place like this. We've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but we’re still here in the same spot. If you're heading down M G Road, look for the sign near the corner. I usually have tea around four, so if the door is shut, I'm just in the back.
