Jay Ambe Times Electronics & Mobile

Working at Jay Ambe Times Electronics & Mobile means I handle a bit of everything from old-school watches to the latest smartphones. We are situated in Sachin 13/14 and the shop has been here for a good while. The Times part of the name comes from the clocks and watches we used to focus on more but now the mobile side of things takes up most of our time. It is a bit of a cramped space with all the different electronics tucked away on the shelves and in the glass display cases. You will see plenty of straps and watch batteries sitting right next to the phone chargers and headsets. Sachin is a decent area and we get a lot of regulars who have been coming to us for years whenever their watch stops ticking or their phone screen goes dark. I spend a lot of my afternoon sitting under the bright lights trying to fix tiny circuits or replacing a watch spring that snapped. It can be tedious work but it keeps the hands busy. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the stall down the street and take a small break on the stools outside. The shop numbers 13 and 14 are right next to each other so we have a bit of extra room compared to some of the smaller stalls. It is just a regular day-to-day operation here with no big surprises and we just keep the doors open for anyone passing through.
