We’ve been here at 41/42 Bhatar Road for quite a while now. Most folks around here know us. It’s a busy spot, and the traffic outside can get a bit loud sometimes, but we’re used to it. My desk sits near the front where I can see folks walking by. We handle a lot of things throughout the day, mostly just making sure our daily work gets done without too much fuss. Jatin started this place and we just keep it going. It isn't a huge operation, but we have enough room for what we need to do. Some days are faster than others. When the monsoon hits, the water splashes up from the road, so we have to keep the front tidy. We mostly deal with people who have been coming to us for years. They know our names and we know theirs. It’s just the way things work in this part of town. Sometimes we sit and have tea in the afternoon when things quiet down for a bit. There’s a lot of paperwork usually, stacks of it on the side tables. We don’t have fancy furniture or anything like that. It’s just a practical space for work. We have these old wooden shelves that hold all our records, and they’ve started to creak a bit when we pull out the heavy ledgers. The dust comes in from the road no matter how much we sweep, so we just do it twice a day. We don't have a website, just our phone and the people who walk in.
