We are set up on the 3rd floor of Aman Apartment, which is on Golandaz Street in Nanpura. If you know Surat, Nanpura is one of those places that has its own rhythm. Being on the third floor means we get a bit of a view of the street below, though mostly it’s just roofs and a lot of wires. This is where we handle the securities work for the local area. It’s not a massive trading floor like you see on TV. It’s mostly just a bunch of desks, some computer screens showing numbers, and people drinking tea while they talk. The elevator in Aman Appt can be a little slow sometimes, so a few of us just take the stairs to stay moving. The street outside, Golandaz Street, is usually crowded with people going about their business. We’ve been here a while and we know the regulars who walk by. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We just need our desks and a good connection to do the job. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so the fans are always going full speed. We handle the paperwork, check the figures, and make sure everything is where it should be. It’s a practical environment. We come in, do the work, and head out. There’s no big mystery to it. We’re just a local branch of Indiabulls Securities Ltd doing our part in this part of town.
