Our office is at 604 on Hosa Road, near the 13th Cross on Ring Road. It’s a quiet space compared to the street outside. We mostly deal with a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. People come to us when they are trying to figure out how to bring goods in or send things over to China. It involves a lot of explaining how the shipping works and what the customs people are going to ask for. We have piles of folders on the desks and a few maps pinned to the walls that have seen better days. It isn’t a high-rise corporate office with a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from a laptop to help you out. We spend a lot of time checking prices and talking to contacts over there to make sure everything is moving like it should. Sometimes there are delays at the ports, and we have to spend the whole afternoon on the phone trying to find out where a container went. It’s mostly just us trying to help local businesses navigate stuff that seems complicated. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, so we know the neighborhood and the other businesses around Hosa Road pretty well. It’s a lot of mundane work, tracking shipments and filling out forms, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just keep the files organized and try to get the answers needed.
