Hotel Taj

This is Hotel Taj, but not the big fancy one you might be thinking of. We are located at Shreeji Nivas on Halar Road in Valsad. We are tucked right behind the Bhagini Samaj building. It’s a quiet enough spot in a town that doesn’t move too fast. The building itself has that old Valsad charm, with some plants near the entrance and a bit of dust from the road. We spend our time managing the rooms and making sure the guests have what they need. It’s a small operation, mostly run by a few of us who have been here forever. We know the local area well and can tell you where the best snacks are. The morning starts early here, cleaning the floors and checking the registers. We don’t have a massive website or a marketing team. People usually find us because they know the landmark or they’ve stayed here before. The rooms are simple and the furniture is sturdy. Sometimes we sit out back during the quiet hours in the afternoon. It gets hot during the summer, so we keep the windows shaded. It’s a practical life, looking after a place like this. We don’t try to be something we aren't. We just provide a place to stay for those passing through Valsad or visiting for work. It’s homey in its own way.
