We’ve been here in Nanpura for a good bit now, just running Harry Fashions from this same spot. It’s mostly just us handling the clothes and making sure things look decent on the racks. The street gets pretty busy during the day, so there’s always someone popping in to look at what’s new. We spend a lot of time sorting through shirts and pants, checking the tags, and putting stuff away when people finish trying them on. Sometimes the shop feels a bit small when a few families come in at once, but we manage. We aren’t doing anything fancy here, just selling clothes that people in the neighborhood need. I usually start the day by sweeping the front and making sure the mirrors are clean. You see a lot of the same faces every week, which is nice because you get to know what people like to wear. Some days are slower than others, especially when it rains hard, but that’s just how it goes around here. We try to keep the stock moving so there is something different to see every time someone walks past. It’s a lot of folding and hanging things up over and over again. Nanpura has changed some over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same. We just keep the doors open and wait for whoever comes by. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from morning until we close up for the night.
