We've been at 132, Bhagvan Nagar for quite some time now. Most people know the Singanpore Char Rasta area, so it's not too hard to find us on Ved Road. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic, but inside we just try to get the work done. I started this because I liked the idea of helping neighbors see parts of India they hadn't been to before. Sometimes the internet goes out and we have to wait for the lines to get fixed, which is frustrating when someone is waiting for a ticket. We aren't a big fancy operation with hundreds of employees. There are just a few of us here. We handle the paperwork, talk to the airlines, and sort out the bus bookings. My desk is usually covered in papers and sticky notes. Sometimes kids from the society play outside the door. It’s just a normal day-to-day business where we try to stay organized. If someone walks in wanting to go to a temple or a beach, we look at the schedules. We don't have a big coffee machine or anything like that, just a kettle. It’s a simple setup in Surat. We know the local routes well. It takes a lot of time to get all the visa stuff right, so we spend a lot of hours looking at forms. We just keep at it every day. It is hard work but it keeps us busy.
