Embassy Hotel,Surat

We have been running the Embassy Hotel for quite some time now, right across from the Surat railway station in the Gulambaba Compound. It is a busy spot because people are always coming and going from the trains at all hours. The area stays pretty noisy during the day, but that is just how it is when you are located so close to the main tracks. We have a few floors of rooms and a small lobby where people check in. Usually, it is just us and a couple of helpers making sure the sheets are changed and the fans are working. It is not fancy, just a regular place to stay if you have an early train to catch or just got into town late at night. Sometimes the elevator acts up, or the street outside gets crowded with rickshaws and vendors, but we try to keep things moving along. We see a lot of business travelers and families passing through our doors. Most of them just need a bed for a few hours before moving on. We spend a lot of our day sitting at the desk, answering the phone or showing people where the drinking water is kept. It’s a plain building with a simple sign outside. We don’t do big advertisements or anything like that. People mostly find us because they walk out of the station and see us right there. It is a lot of work keeping up with the cleaning.
