The Next Fashions

You can find us at Number Jy3 D- 59 in the Bhakti Residency in Dindoli. Being located inside a residency means it’s a bit different than a typical market shop. We have a space that is filled with rolls of cloth and different kinds of thread. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and fabric scraps by midday, no matter how many times we sweep it up. We have a few mirrors on the walls so people can see how things look, but they are a bit old and have some spots on them. Most of our day is spent measuring, cutting, and talking to people about what they want for their clothes. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once, but we make it work. We have a small radio that plays local stations in the background, which helps pass the time when things are slow. The lighting is okay, but we use a desk lamp for the fine work so we don't strain our eyes too much. People from the residency often pop in just to chat or ask how a certain piece is coming along. We don't have any big flashy signs, just a small board near the door. It’s a practical little spot where we keep busy from morning until the sun goes down over Dindoli. We just try to get the work done.
