Dharti Travels

Dharti Travels is located at Shop No 6 in the Mohanlal Chawl. We are right on the Varachha Main Road, which stays pretty noisy from dawn till dusk. If you know where Dr Kevadiya Hospital is in the Matavadi area, we are just across from there. It’s a convenient spot because so many people pass by on their way to the hospital or the local markets. The shop itself is quite modest. We have the usual things you’d expect—some old maps, a telephone that rings more than it should, and plenty of pens that always seem to go missing. Working here on Varachha Road means you see a lot of the real Surat life. We handle travel bookings for all sorts of people, from students to older folks visiting relatives. We don’t do things in a very formal way. You come in, tell us where you need to go, and we see what we can find on the system. If the printer is acting up, we might take an extra minute, but we get it done eventually. It’s a small shop in a row of many others, but we like it here. It feels like we are part of the neighborhood. We don't need a lot of space to do our work, just enough for a computer and a place for a customer to sit and talk. We've been at this same spot for years, and most people around Matavadi know exactly where to find us.
