Desai Traders

We are located at Shop No-4 in the Ongc Shopping Center. It is right opposite the new bus stop, so we see people waiting around all day. Being in a shopping center means there are always people coming and going. Desai Traders is a small shop, but we make the most of the space we have. We spend a lot of time standing behind the counter or moving stock around. The bus stop across the road is a good landmark for people trying to find us. It gets quite noisy with the buses pulling in and out, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We open the shutter every morning and set things out for the day. It’s a very repetitive routine but it works for us. We don't have any flashy advertisements or big posters. Our customers are mostly local people or commuters who are passing through the shopping center. The light in the shop isn't great, so we keep the door open to let in the natural light. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when we get a big delivery, and we have to shuffle things around to make room. We don't really have a lunch break; we just eat when the shop is quiet. It’s a simple life running a trade shop like this. We’ve seen other shops in the center come and go, but we’re still here. It’s a decent enough spot for a business.
