Santosh Mshinari Stors

My shop, Santosh Mshinari Stors, is right at 15 Kamrej Char Rasta. If you know the area, you know it’s a big junction where everything meets. There is always a lot of dust from the road and the sound of horns blowing all day long. I opened this place because it’s a good spot for people passing through. We sell machinery and parts, so there’s always something heavy sitting on the floor. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks in it now, but it doesn't bother anyone. I spend a lot of time sitting on a wooden stool behind the counter, waiting for customers or checking the ledger. I wrote the name on the board myself a few years ago. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass windows. It’s mostly open to the street so we get a good breeze, though it brings in the dirt too. People come in with broken parts and ask if I have a replacement. Sometimes I do, sometimes I have to order it. I have a small kettle in the back to make tea for myself and anyone who hangs around to talk. Kamrej is growing fast, but my shop stays pretty much the same. It’s just me and a couple of helpers trying to keep things moving. We don't have a website or anything, just the shop at the crossroads.
