If you are looking for us, we are at 1231 Ring Road, right in the Surat Textile Markets. This area is always packed with people moving bundles of cloth, but we are more on the engineering side of things. The office is on an upper floor, and sometimes the elevator is a bit temperamental, so you might end up taking the stairs. It is a bit cramped inside with all the drawings and technical manuals we have lying around. We have been in this spot for years, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody really has the time to move everything out to do it. The market outside is constant noise, shouting and horns, but once you close the door it gets a little bit quieter. We spend most of our time staring at blueprints or talking on the phone to suppliers. It is not a glamorous job. There is a lot of coffee involved and sometimes we stay late when a project is giving us trouble. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know how the machines and structures are supposed to fit together. The air conditioning is a bit old but it still works most days. People stop by to ask questions and we just tell them how it is. No fancy presentations or anything like that. Just some folks at a desk trying to solve engineering problems in the middle of a textile hub.
