Computer Operator

We sit here at Vishwakarma-Society, house number 9. It is right by Majura Gate in Surat. People call us at 0261-6541534 when they need some help with stuff on the computer. It is not a big office or anything fancy, just a room where we get things done. Mostly it is typing, printing, and fixing up documents that people bring in. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, but we stay busy anyway. The area is usually crowded with traffic outside. We have been here for a bit now. It is mostly just sitting in front of the screen all day long. Sometimes it gets tiring for the eyes. Residents around the society know us. We are not trying to change the world, just doing the work that comes our way. If someone needs a letter typed or some data entered, they drop by. We keep the printer running and the chairs are okay but not great. It is a job. Most days involve a lot of clicking and checking errors. The phone rings and we answer. We do not have a website or big signs. Just the name Computer Operator on the door. It is simple work but people around here need it. Sometimes we have tea while waiting for a file to load. That is pretty much how it goes here in Surat. We just keep at it every day from morning till evening. It is just basic work for local folks.
