C.K. Patel Engineering Works

At C.K. Patel Engineering Works, we are located in Shade No-231 over at Radha Raman Nichawl. It is on Anil Starts Road in the Babu Nagar area. If you find the Torrent Power Control Room, you are basically there. Working out of a shade means it can get quite hot in the afternoons, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We do a lot of engineering stuff, mostly repairs and making small parts when people bring them in. The floor is usually covered in some kind of grease or metal shavings because there is always a project going on. We have some old lathes and drills that have been with us for a long time. They work fine, so we do not see a reason to get fancy new ones if we do not have to. It is just a small team of us. We drink our tea together in the mornings before the noise starts. Babu Nagar is a busy place with lots of small workshops like ours, so there is always the sound of hammers or grinders in the air. We do not have a website or a sales team. People just come to the shade when they have something that needs fixing or making. We give them a price and tell them when it will be done. It is straightforward and honest work without any of that corporate talk. We just focus on the machines.
