About Chamunda Mobile Repairing Centre – Telecom in Surat
Our little shop is over in Dindoli Kalpana Society 2. If you walk past the main corner, you will see the sign for Chamunda Mobile Repairing Centre. I have got my tools laid out on a small wooden workbench right near the front window because the sunlight is better there for seeing those tiny screws inside the phone cases. It is a small room, mostly filled with stacks of old screen protectors, some spare batteries, and various cables hanging on the walls. I started fixing things because I liked taking electronics apart when I was younger, and now it is just what I do for the neighbors. People bring in phones with cracked glass or ones that will not turn on after getting dropped in water. Sometimes it is just a quick fix that takes five minutes, and other times I am sitting there for two hours trying to figure out why a charging port is acting up. The floor always needs a good sweep by the end of the day because of all the little bits of plastic and wire that fall off the bench. I usually keep a small radio playing in the back. Dindoli is a pretty loud place with all the traffic, so I like having that bit of music to focus. It is just me here most of the time, though my cousin stops by to help when we get really busy during the festival season. It is a simple setup, nothing like those big stores in the mall. Just a guy and his screwdrivers trying to get people their phones back.
