Bright Paints

Bright Paints is tucked away at 18 Surat Industrial Estate. Being in an industrial area means we’re surrounded by factories and warehouses, which is exactly where we belong. We deal with a lot of paints and coatings, mostly the kind of stuff used in bigger projects or for industrial equipment. The shop is more of a warehouse than a retail store. We have large drums of material stacked up, and there’s always a forklift moving something around nearby. It’s not the cleanest environment—there’s often a bit of a smell of chemicals or fresh paint in the air—but we’re used to it. We’ve been here at number 18 for a long time now. Most of our customers are other businesses in the estate who need something quickly. We don't have a fancy showroom with pretty lights. Instead, we have shelves of heavy-duty cans and mixing machines that have seen better days but still work well enough. Our team is small, just a few of us who know the inventory inside and out. We spend most of the day loading trucks or checking order lists. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and the floors are stained with various colors from spills over the years. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We’re just a practical paint supplier in an industrial park. If you come by, just watch out for the trucks in the driveway. We usually close up once the main industrial shifts end for the day.
