Fashion Trendz is located at B-344 in the Bombay Market. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know how hectic it can be. There are people everywhere and it’s always noisy. Our shop is just one of many, so we try to keep our display looking decent even though the space is small. We spend hours every week just unpacking new shipments and hanging things up. The air conditioning in the market is okay, but it still gets stuffy when it’s crowded. We have a small mirror in the back for people to see how they look. Most of our day is spent talking to customers and trying to keep the clothes from falling off the hangers. We eat our lunch quickly in the back room between the stacks of boxes. The Bombay Market is like its own little world. We’ve seen many shops come and go, but we’ve managed to stay in this spot for a good while. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. We just rely on people walking by and stopping in. Sometimes we stay late when the market stays open for festivals. It’s tiring work being on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We just focus on getting through the racks and helping whoever walks through the door. It’s a lot of folding and re-folding, but that’s the garment business for you. We keep it going every day.
