About Asha Mobile Service Centre – Telecom in Surat
Our place is in Sayedpura Ghiya N I Khadki, right off Naroda Road 8. It’s mostly a service centre, so you’ll see more tools than new phones here. I’ve got screwdrivers, tweezers, and soldering stations taking up most of the space on the benches. It’s a bit messy, honestly. There are bits of tape and old screens everywhere. I try to sweep up every night, but by noon the next day, it’s the same again. We handle a lot of water damage and broken ports. People come in looking worried, and I just tell them I’ll see what I can do. I’ve been working on electronics since I was a kid, so it’s second nature now. The shop is tucked into a quiet corner, so it’s not as loud as the main road. I usually have a cup of cold tea sitting somewhere because I forgot to drink it while working. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, I just look up from my work. Sometimes the parts take a few days to arrive, and the customers have to wait. I don't like making people wait, but that's how it goes. The shelves are full of plastic bins with labels that only I can read. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy enough. Naroda Road is a long stretch, but people find their way to this little khadki when their phone dies and they need a fix.
