Laxmi Lace

Being on Anand Mahal Road in Adajan is pretty convenient because everyone knows where the SBI bank is. Our place, Laxmi Lace, is right there in the L-118 LG Prime Arcade. If you walk in, you’ll see rolls and rolls of lace everywhere you look. It’s a lot to keep track of honestly. We spend a lot of time measuring out lengths for people who are working on their own sewing projects at home. Some people are very specific about the shade of gold or the width of the trim and we do our best to find it in the stacks. It can get a bit dusty with all the fabric fibers in the air but that’s just the nature of the business. The arcade is a busy spot and we see a lot of different people every day. We aren't some big corporate chain, just a local spot where you can get what you need for a dress or a curtain. Sometimes we get new designs in and we have to shuffle everything around to make space on the shelves. It’s a bit like a puzzle sometimes. We keep things pretty straightforward and don't try to overcomplicate the way we run things. Just helping folks find the right bit of lace and sending them on their way. It’s been our routine for quite a while now and we’re quite comfortable with it. It’s just how we spend our days at the shop.
