Amit Exports Surat

We are over at Kohinoor Textile Market on the Ring Road, specifically in units C- 2409 to 2418. It’s a big space because we need the room for all the boxes and fabric rolls that move in and out. Being in Surat, especially on the Ring Road, means it is always crowded and there is a lot of traffic outside. The market itself is a maze, but once you find our section, you’ll see we are constantly packing things. We do exports, so a lot of our time is spent checking labels and making sure everything is folded right before it goes into a carton. There are stacks of textiles everywhere you look. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving stuff around the floor. Some days it feels like we are just living in a warehouse because there’s so much material surrounding us. We have a small desk tucked in the corner where we handle the paperwork, but mostly we are on our feet. The air in the market always smells like new fabric and sometimes the exhaust from the trucks outside. We’ve been in these units for a while and have seen the market change, but the work stays the same. It’s just about getting the shipments ready and making sure the trucks are loaded on time so things can get where they need to go.
