Veronica Designers

Up on the second floor of the Surat Textile Market, things get pretty loud during the middle of the day. Our spot at Block H-3039 is right in the middle of all that Ring Road action. Veronica Designers isn't a huge operation, but we have enough space for the tables and the fabric rolls that seem to pile up no matter how much we organize. Finding the place can be a bit of a trick if you aren't used to the layout of the market because all the hallways start looking the same after a while. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and trying to get the colors to look right under these fluorescent lights. The humidity in Surat can be tough on the fabric, so we try to keep things moving fast. Lunch is usually something quick brought from home or whatever the local stalls are selling downstairs. There is a lot of shouting from the loaders in the hallways, but you get used to the noise after a week or two. Productivity Road is always jammed with trucks and rickshaws, so getting anything delivered is a headache we deal with every single afternoon. It is just the way business goes in this part of town. We just keep our heads down and focus on the designs we have to finish by the end of the week.
