Our place is inside the Kohinoor Textile Market, right on the Ring Road. It is a big market, and finding A/1077-78 can take a minute if you are new here. We have been working from this spot in Surat for some time. The market is always crowded with people moving fabric and trucks loading up outside. We are right in the middle of all that activity. Inside the office, things are usually a bit quieter, though we have papers everywhere. We mostly help out with the local business accounts and whatever filings people need. There are a few of us here every day. We aren't really into big advertisements or anything. Most people find us because they are already working in the market. It gets hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always going. We don't have a big corporate setup. It is just a regular office with old desks and some chairs for visitors. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the market rates and the new rules. Ring Road is the heart of the trade here, so it makes sense for us to stay put. We just try to get the work done without making too much of a fuss. If the work is finished on time, we are happy. Sometimes the hallways are blocked with bales of cloth, but we just squeeze past and keep going.
