Aeron Paint Work

Running Aeron Paint Work out of Adajan is mostly about staying busy with the local houses and shops. We are located near the Shivaji Nagar railway station which means we hear the trains whistling all day long. It is a bit loud but you stop noticing it after the first week. Most of the time we are out on a job site with our brushes and buckets. We don't spend much time sitting around in an office. This part of Adajan has changed so much since I was a kid. There are so many new buildings now and everyone wants a fresh coat of paint. I usually have two or three guys working with me. We meet up early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Paint smells like work to me, though some people hate the scent of it. We use whatever the customer buys usually. I carry my ladders on the back of a small truck. It’s a bit of a struggle to find parking near the station sometimes. The traffic is really something else in the evenings. We just keep our tools clean and move from one project to the next. I’m not a big talker, I’d rather just get the walls finished so the owners can move back in. It’s hard work on the knees and back but it pays the bills. Sometimes we get tea from the vendors near the tracks while we take a break.
