Supaul Fish Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Ramdat Patti village, which is part of the Supaul block. We are basically a group of local people who have been around water and fish our whole lives. Instead of everyone doing their own thing, we decided to come together to make things a bit more organized for our families and the village. Life in Ramdat Patti revolves around the seasons and the water. We spend most of our time out at the ponds or handling the logistics of moving fish. It’s a practical business, really. We deal with the fry, the feed, and the harvesting when the time is right. There are good days and bad days, like when the weather gets too hot or the rains are too heavy, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We aren't trying to be some big city corporation. We are just farmers who know our trade. Our office is right here in the village, so we are never far from the actual work. It’s about making sure we can sustain ourselves and keep the fish production going year after year. Everyone knows everyone here, so we work on trust and shared effort. It’s a simple way of living and working, focused on the basics of aquaculture in our little corner of Supaul. We just do our best with what we have each day and keep things moving forward.
