Out here in Kulba, things move at a certain pace. We are based via Sankara in the Sundargarh district of Orissa. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but this is where the work happens for Maithan Ispat Limited. Being in a place like this means you deal with the local weather and the local roads every single day. We have our setup here at the 770020 pin code. Most of the guys working here are from around the area, so we all know each other. We do steel work, mostly. It is loud and it gets hot, but that is just the nature of what we do. There isn't any corporate polish here. We just have our yard and the equipment. Sometimes the power goes out, or the rain makes the roads a mess, but we still manage to keep things moving. We don't spend a lot of time writing fancy reports or anything like that. We just focus on the loads coming in and the loads going out. It’s honest work in a quiet part of the country. People around here know where to find us if they need something. We’ve been at this spot for a while, just handling the day-to-day tasks that come with running an industrial site in rural Orissa. It can be hard work, but it is what we know. The sun gets strong in the afternoons, but we just keep at it until the day is done.
