We’ve been operating out of Rourkela for a long time now. Orissa is basically the heart of the steel industry, and being here feels right. Our setup isn't anything grand. It's just a functional workspace where we handle the various parts of the steel and power business. Rourkela is a busy town, full of people who know their way around a factory. We blend right in with the local scene. Our office is a bit old-fashioned, maybe a little cluttered with old files and spare parts. We don’t mind it much because everything we need is within reach. There isn't a lot of 'corporate' talk around here. We speak plain English and get to the point. Whether it’s talking to the guys on the floor or dealing with a supplier, we keep it straightforward. The weather can be a bit much during the monsoon, with the rain coming down hard on the roof, but we keep the operations moving. It’s a practical life. We aren't trying to sell anyone anything they don't already know about. People in Rourkela understand the steel business, and we’re just a part of that community. We show up every day, do the work that’s expected of us, and keep things running as well as we can. It’s nothing more and nothing less than a day’s work for us in this part of the world.
