Dhartidhan Marble

Our shop, Dhartidhan Marble, is located over on Hanumangarh Road in Jawahar Nagar. If you are heading towards Jain College, you will see us right around there. It is a good spot because there is a lot of traffic, but sometimes it is hard for people to park their scooters if it gets too crowded. We have been working with stone for a long time. The yard is usually full of slabs that we have brought in from various places. Some are heavy and take two or three of us to move even with the equipment. We keep the office simple, just a desk and some chairs where we sit and talk to anyone who wanders in. The noise from the college students and the buses on Hanumangarh Road is just something we got used to over the years. You stop hearing it after a while. We don't really do much advertising. People usually come to us because they saw the sign while driving to work or someone told them we had a specific type of marble in stock. It is a lot of physical labor, lifting and loading, and my back definitely feels it by the time Friday rolls around. We just try to keep the pieces from cracking and make sure the piles stay steady. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down.
