Visvodaya Government Degree College

This is the Visvodaya Government Degree College located right on the Main Road in Venkatagiri Town. Being a government institution, we see a lot of different students coming through our doors every year from all over Nellore. The building has been here for quite some time, so it has that old feel to it with high ceilings and heavy wooden doors. We offer various courses for those who finished their intermediate and want to stay close to home for their degree. The walk from the bus stand isn't too long, which helps the students who commute from the nearby villages. Our staff handles a lot of students, so the hallways are usually pretty crowded during the day. We have a library where it is actually quiet, and students spend a lot of time there before the exam season starts. It is not a place with modern air conditioning or anything like that. We have ceiling fans that hum all day and open windows to let the breeze in. The administrative office is always full of forms and files because that is how government colleges work. The trees around the campus give some shade during the hot afternoons in Venkatagiri. We have a notice board near the entrance where all the exam schedules and holiday dates get pinned up. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the exams are conducted fairly. It is a busy place, and there is always something going on every week.
