Government Degree College

You can find the Government Degree College over on Old Kalahasthi Road in Lasagaram, Nayudupeta. Being a government institution in the Nellore district, we have a lot of students coming from various backgrounds and nearby villages. The campus is quite large but basic, with the kind of look you expect from a state-run building. We have several departments and offer different degree programs to the local youth. It is usually a hive of activity during the day, with students hanging out in the corridors or sitting under the trees between their lectures. The staff here handles a lot of administrative work along with the teaching, so there is always a lot of paper moving around. It is not a place with a lot of luxury, but it provides the space and the resources that students need to get their degrees. The road outside can get a bit noisy with traffic heading toward Kalahasthi, but we are used to that. We have a simple canteen and some basic facilities that everyone shares. It is a very public place, so you see all kinds of people coming through for various reasons. We just keep the doors open and follow the government schedule for the academic year. It is a straightforward, functional college that has been a staple in the Nayudupeta area for many years now. It is a big part of the local community here, and most families have someone who has studied in these halls.
