Vandana Processing Foods Producercompany Limited is located in Village Nara. You’ll find us care of Sunehra, who is the son of Balki Ram. In a small village like Nara, names and family lines matter much more than house numbers usually do. We started this company because we wanted to do more than just grow the food; we wanted to process it right here ourselves. Processing sounds like a big industrial word from a textbook, but for us, it’s just about making the harvest last longer or turning it into something else we can sell for a better price. Sunehra’s place is where we all get together to talk and work. It’s not a factory with big chimneys, just a local setup run by local people. We are a producer company, which means we are owned by the people who actually do the hard work in the fields and the sheds. It feels right that way. Some days we are busy with the small machines we have, and other days we are just stuck with the paperwork. It’s a lot of learning as we go along. We didn't go to any business school; we just know how food works and how to grow it. There’s a lot of laughter and some arguments too during our meetings, like any family business. We are proud to be from Nara and to have our work attached to our community. It’s just about making good food and helping neighbors.
