Rishi Steel

Rishi Steel is located right in the middle of Janta Market, near the Jain Dharamshala Market on Jharsa Road. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets. There are people everywhere, and the noise from the street never really stops. We deal with steel, so there is a lot of clanging and banging throughout the day. Moving long rods or heavy sheets of metal through the narrow market lanes is always a bit of a challenge, but we manage it. The shop itself is mostly full of stock. We don't have much room for anything else. We've got an old fan that rattles in the corner and a bench where we sit for lunch when there is a break in the customers. People come in looking for stuff for construction or just a small piece of steel for a repair at home. Jharsa Road has everything, and we just try to be the place people go when they need something solid. It’s hard work, and your hands are always dirty by the end of the shift. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name and the piles of metal. It's a simple operation. We buy the steel, we stack it, and we sell it to whoever needs it. Sometimes we talk about the weather or how the market is changing, but mostly we just focus on the scales and the orders. It’s been this way for a long time now and we are used to it.
