Penchant, India

Operating out of D-18 in Indira Enclave feels a lot different than being in a big commercial hub. Neb Sarai has its own character, mostly because it’s tucked away a bit. We’ve set up Penchant, India here because it’s convenient for the small crew we have. The office is basically a few rooms where we keep our equipment and the desks are always cluttered with notes. It gets a bit noisy when the local traffic picks up outside, but you get used to the sounds after a week or two. We don't really do the whole corporate dress code thing. Most days, someone brings in snacks from home and we eat while we talk through the schedule. It's a practical setup, nothing too decorative on the walls. We just needed a place where the internet works and we have enough space to think. Being in a residential enclave means we see the neighbors going about their lives, hanging laundry or walking their dogs, while we are busy with our screens. It grounds you. Sometimes we lose track of time when a project gets complicated, but the quiet of the evening in Neb Sarai usually reminds us to pack up. It isn't a high-pressure environment with clocks on every wall. We just move at a pace that allows us to get things right without rushing through the details. It's just the way we like to operate because it keeps the stress levels manageable for everyone involved.
