Orient Fabric

We are located in Lado Sarai, specifically at F-171 in Mirza Wali Gali. If you know Mehrauli, you know how narrow these lanes can be. Orient Fabric is tucked away in one of those spots where you have to watch your step. It is a very old part of Delhi. Our space is filled with rolls of cloth and different textiles stacked up to the ceiling. It smells like raw cotton and old buildings. We don't have much room to move around when we have a lot of stock. We spend the day measuring and cutting and talking to folks who come by. The light in the gali isn't great, so we have some bright bulbs inside. It is a bit loud with all the neighbors so close together. You can hear people cooking or kids playing right outside the door. We have been here for years, and the routine hasn't changed much. We open up, move some stacks around, and start working. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to bring the big bundles down the narrow path. We just go out and help them. It’s a tight-knit place. We aren't a big factory; we are just a local spot in a historic neighborhood doing our work. That is our daily life here in Lado Sarai.
