Our office is tucked away in Naraina Vihar, at E 72 2. New Delhi is always moving fast, but this part of the city has its own kind of pace. We have been here for a while now, dealing with the daily grind of running things. It’s a standard workspace with desks, some old files, and the sound of the printer going off every now and then. The neighborhood is mostly residential with some businesses mixed in, so you get a lot of locals walking their dogs or going to the market while we are busy inside. Finding a parking spot on this street is a nightmare some mornings, but we manage somehow. Inside, it’s mostly just us working through paperwork and making phone calls. The air conditioner works most of the time, which is a blessing in the Delhi heat. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just handling the business at hand. Sometimes the tea lady comes around, and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon break. We know the shopkeepers nearby and they know us. It is a very normal existence. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. The focus is just on the tasks for the day and getting home on time. It is a bit cramped when everyone is in, but it works for us. That is basically what Mcdowell Co Ltd is about in this little corner of the capital.
