We are over in Dwarka at the Kanchanjunga Apartments. It’s Flat No 504A in Sector 23. Working for Larsen And Toubro Ltd from a residential apartment building is a bit different than a big glass office, but it works well for us. It feels more comfortable and less stiff. We have our computers and files set up in the different rooms. Being on the fifth floor gives us a bit of a view of the sector rooftops. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which helps when we need to focus on the technical stuff. New Delhi -75 is a big area, so we are glad to be tucked away here. We deal with the administrative side of things mostly. It’s a lot of typing, checking spreadsheets, and making phone calls. Sometimes we have meetings in the living area where there is more space. It’s not corporate-style, just a bunch of us trying to stay on top of the workload. The security guards at the gate know us by now and they are friendly. We usually bring our own lunch or grab something small from the local market nearby when we get hungry. It’s a straightforward operation. No one is wearing suits unless there’s a really big reason to. We just keep the wheels turning for the company from this little corner of Dwarka. It is a bit cramped when we get a lot of supplies delivered at once, but we make do with the space we have.
