International Horti Expo 2016

Our office is over at J-73 in the Paryavaran Complex. It’s been our home base for the International Horti Expo 2016 work for a long time. It’s not the biggest space, but it fits us all in. We spend a lot of time organizing things for the expo, making sure the schedules are right and that people know where to go. There’s usually a lot of paperwork piled up on the desks. We try to keep it organized, though it gets messy when we’re in the middle of a big planning phase. The complex itself is okay, pretty standard for this part of town. We have a few desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of phone lines. Sometimes the internet acts up, but we manage. Most of the time, we’re just coordinating with different vendors and participants. It’s a lot of back and forth on the phone and through emails. We aren’t really trying to impress anyone with a sleek look. It’s just a place to get the job done. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a deadline coming up. It’s just how it is with events. We’ve got a small kitchen area where we make tea. That’s usually where the most interesting conversations happen. We do what we can with the space we have. It’s mostly just making sure the paperwork for the exhibitors is in order before the dates arrive.
