Our office is tucked away in Hauz Khas Village, at House No 8. If you know the area, you know it's a mix of old buildings and narrow lanes that get really crowded on the weekends. We've been here for a bit, handling the financial services side of things for people who drop by. It’s not the easiest place to park, so most people just walk in from the main entrance of the village. Inside, it's pretty basic. We have our desks set up and we spend most of the day looking at spreadsheets or talking to clients about their files. It gets a little cramped when more than three people are waiting, but we make it work. New Delhi heat can be tough in this part of town, so the AC is usually running full tilt during the summer months. We don't do much in the way of decorating; it's mostly just filing cabinets and computers. Working in the village is interesting because there's always something going on outside, but once you step inside our door, it's just quiet office work. We handle the paperwork, answer the phones when they ring, and try to keep up with the daily stack of forms. It’s a small team here. We don't have any big corporate signs or flashing lights, just a small plaque near the door so you know you’re at the right place. It’s a bit of a maze, but we like it here.
