Harleen Behl

Our place is in Dwarka, specifically at A-601 in the Badhwar Apartments. It doesn't really feel like a typical office because it’s inside a residential complex. You have to sign in at the gate, and the security guards know us by now. Harleen Behl started things here because it was easier than commuting across the city every day. The apartment has a nice view of the other blocks, but mostly we just see the stacks of folders we’ve piled up over the months. It’s a quiet building for the most part, except for when the kids are coming home from school in the afternoon. We work in the main living area which we’ve turned into a workspace with a few long tables and some mismatched chairs. It gets plenty of sunlight in the mornings, which is nice until it gets too warm. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to keep things from feeling too silent. Sometimes neighbors pop in to ask for something or just to chat for a minute. We don't have a big sign outside or anything. If you're looking for us, you just have to know which floor to go to. It's a simple way of working. We make our own coffee in the small kitchen and try to stay on top of the list of things to do. It’s just a handful of us here, and we like the fact that it feels more like a home than a sterile corporate office. It keeps things grounded for us.
