About Fashion Architect – Fashion & Trends in South West Delhi
We spend most of our time here at Plot 7 in Sector 19B. Dwarka is usually pretty busy outside, so it’s a bit quieter once you step inside the shop. It isn't a huge place, just a workspace where we get things done. Mostly, we are surrounded by measuring tapes, rolls of paper for sketches, and scraps of fabric that seem to get everywhere no matter how much we sweep. The light comes in okay in the mornings, which helps when we're trying to see the details on a sleeve or a collar. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a ten-minute break, just sitting on the stools talking about whatever is happening in the neighborhood. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. Your hands get tired after a few hours of pinning and cutting. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we've been too occupied with the orders to really get around to it. Most days involve a lot of back and forth about whether a seam looks right or if a pattern is sitting straight on the table. It’s just us here, trying to make things that fit properly. Sometimes the sewing machines act up and we have to spend half an hour fixing a bobbin, which is annoying. But that’s just how it goes when you’re working with your hands every single day in Dwarka.
