Ernst Young

Our office is located on the first floor at D 112 in Safdarjung Enclave. It's a nice enough area here in New Delhi, and being on the first floor means people don't have to walk up too many stairs to see us. We go by the name Ernst Young. It’s a practical space where we handle mostly accounting and some legal paperwork for local clients. There are three of us here most days. The windows look out onto the street, which is usually busy with cars and people going about their business. We keep the office fairly simple—desks, chairs, and a few computers that have seen better days. We don’t go for the high-end office look because it’s just not us. We focus on getting the work finished without making a big fuss. Often, we are buried under piles of receipts and bank statements. It’s the kind of work that takes patience more than anything else. We’ve been in Safdarjung for several years now and have gotten to know the regulars pretty well. If you drop by, you’ll probably see us sorting through papers or talking on the phone with the tax office. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. We just rely on doing the job and people telling their friends. It keeps the lights on and the work coming in. Sometimes we stay late when deadlines approach, but we try to keep a normal schedule.
