You can find us at AB-12 in Safdarjung Enclave, which is a pretty central spot. The building is older and has that solid feel to it. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and display cases filled with whatever we are stocking that week. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is kept. There’s a small desk near the entrance where we sit and wait for people to walk in. The street outside is usually lined with cars and there’s a lot of honking during the rush hour. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while, so the walls have some scuffs and the floor tiles are a bit worn down in the spots where people walk the most. We usually keep the door open to let some air in unless it’s really dusty outside. Our team is small, just a couple of guys who have worked together for ages. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or anything like that. Usually, we are just in regular shirts and trousers. We spend the mornings checking the inventory and the afternoons talking to whoever comes through the door. It’s a simple way to spend the day. Sometimes the light bulbs flicker and we have to give the switch a little tap. It’s just part of the character of the shop. We finish up when the sun starts to set and the shops nearby begin to close their shutters.
