Our office is on the first floor over in Krishna Nagar, still within the Safdarjung Enclave area. The address is 42-A/2 and it’s a bit different from the street-level shops. You have to walk up a narrow set of stairs to get to us. The room has a lot of natural light coming in from the front windows which is nice during the winter. We have a few big tables where we spread out our papers and catalogs. It’s mostly an administrative spot where we handle the orders and the logistics side of things. There’s always a stack of folders that needs sorting and a printer that jams whenever we are in a hurry. We share the floor with a couple of other small businesses so you often see people from the other offices in the corridor. It’s a friendly enough atmosphere. We keep a small kettle for tea and some biscuits in a tin for when we get hungry. The walls are painted a plain off-white color and we have a few old calendars hanging up. We don't have any big meetings or fancy presentations here. It’s just us sitting around, making calls, and typing away on the keyboards. Sometimes the traffic noise from the main road drifts up, but mostly it is just the sound of the ceiling fan and the occasional phone ringing. It’s a practical space where we get the work done without much fuss.
