There are a lot of trees and plants around the property, making it feel more like a home than a formal office. We have several rooms filled with books, scientific reports, and field equipment. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we have so much stuff piled up from different projects. We are a small group of people who are really into environmental issues. We don't have a big corporate budget, so our furniture is mostly second-hand and the walls could probably use some new paint. We spend a lot of time discussing ideas and looking at data on our screens. Sometimes we go out to do field work, but this is where we come back to write everything down. The atmosphere is very relaxed and we don't follow a strict dress code. Most days, we just make some coffee and get to work on whatever project is most urgent. It is a good place for people who want to actually do something about the environment without all the corporate talk. We’ve been here for a while and the location suits our needs perfectly. The birds chirping in the morning is a nice touch.
